Tutorials on Instagram Television

Image
Hello everyone, I want to tell you about a little project that I've been working on. I thought it would be an interesting adventure to make some short tutorials or process videos for Instagram TV otherwise known as IGTV. If you're not familiar with this feature on Instagram I'll tell you a bit about it. Instagram rolled out IGTV almost a year ago and it basically gives you your own channel on Instagram, similar to YouTube. Any video that is too long for your Instagram feed can be added to your IGTV channel. It's a really neat feature that I've been seeing others use so I thought, why not? How do you find me on IGTV, or anyone else for that matter? There are two ways, the first is by following. Follow Florida Sand Paper on Instagram, if a new IGTV video has been uploaded you will see the first two minutes in your feed, after that you can click on the link to watch the rest on IGTV. The second way is to find the icon on you home page that looks like a TV

Treasure Hunt- The little Wooden Stamp Set

Image
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then I think these little gems are gorgeous!! I love, love, love vintage office supplies, I don't know why, but I do! In the last couple of years I've become a part of the Happy Mail sending, envelope collage creating, Junk Journal making world. I saw these wooden number stamps and needed them in my life. As Marie Kwando would say, "They sparked joy!" The set came with numbers 0-9, a decimal point, and 1/2 and cent symbols.  They're a good size too, larger than I originally thought they were. Excited to give them a try, I found they were a little rough and needed some TLC. When I tried to stamp with them they were only leaving a partial impression. It seems that years of the wood being dry had caused them to shrivel a bit in the center. I tried using a juicy ink pad and even foam rubber mat under the paper but I needed a different solution. Grabbing some fine grit sandpaper I slowly and c

Graphic 45 2019 Brand Ambassador Audition

Hello Everyone! Recently Graphic 45 announced their 2019 open auditions for Brand Ambassadors. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan, so I thought I would give it a try. You may have seen how unique and versatile their paper sets and Staples are, and surely, that is one of the reasons they are loved among creators! My audition video features the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Deluxe Collector's Edition Papercrafting Set, by Graphic 45. This set includes a twenty-four page, double sided paper pad as well as chipboard and sticker sheets that match the collection. The page that I got my inspiration from is called Parlor Wall. The idea was to start with a gallery type of theme and maintain that theme throughout this project. As I explain in the video, this is not a typical Mini Album for me, it's a Scrapbook. The video includes a complete flip through of my Scrapbook, followed by a tutorial on how the base/cover was constructed. A great big th

Making Sturdy Envelopes Out Of Chipboard

Image
Happy Friday, everybody! The other day I needed to mail a purchase from my Etsy shop to it's new owner, which required a small but sturdy envelope, however I didn't have one.  I had some light weight chipboard that had been sitting around the studio, so, I put it to good use and came up with the idea for an envelope. I filmed a quick and easy tutorial for you to follow along. This envelope style can also be made using using any type of paper or cardstock. Take a look! What do you think, super easy right?!
