Mini Lighted Shadowbox Vignettes Tutorial

Image
I don't know about you but i like to save the scraps that are left over from my Mini Album projects. After all, we spend a good amount of money on some of these collections so we should find other ways to use them. The most obvious 'go to' for our scrappy bits are greeting cards, but what other uses are there? Did you know that small vignettes have become popular in the last few years?  Mixed Media Artists, like Tim Holtz, get to really show off their talent and imagination by making small display pieces with different themes.  Inspired by this, I thought I could use my saved bits and pieces to make these mini shadowbox type vignettes, which would be a fun little gift idea for an older child or for someone who has a holiday tree they keep up year-round. They could even be used as a tag, of sorts, to accompany a gift. How about personalizing them using a photo of a friend or family member as the star of the show? Go a step further and add some tiny LED ...

Graphic 45 2019 Brand Ambassador Audition

Image
Hello Everyone! Recently Graphic 45 announced their 2019 open auditions for Brand Ambassadors. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan, so I thought I would give it a try. You may have seen how unique and versatile their paper sets and Staples are, and surely, that is one of the reasons they are loved among creators! My audition video features the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Deluxe Collector's Edition Papercrafting Set, by Graphic 45. This set includes a twenty-four page, double sided paper pad as well as chipboard and sticker sheets that match the collection. The page that I got my inspiration from is called Parlor Wall. The idea was to start with a gallery type of theme and maintain that theme throughout this project. As I explain in the video, this is not a typical Mini Album for me, it's a Scrapbook. The video includes a complete flip through of my Scrapbook, followed by a tutorial on how the base/cover was constructed. A great big th...

Making Sturdy Envelopes Out Of Chipboard

Image
Happy Friday, everybody! The other day I needed to mail a purchase from my Etsy shop to it's new owner, which required a small but sturdy envelope, however I didn't have one.  I had some light weight chipboard that had been sitting around the studio, so, I put it to good use and came up with the idea for an envelope. I filmed a quick and easy tutorial for you to follow along. This envelope style can also be made using using any type of paper or cardstock. Take a look! What do you think, super easy right?! Have a great weekend! Follow my blog with Bloglovin
